When I turn the camera on, the lens extends and everything seems normal, but it won't do anything. The LCD screen or the Viewfinder only show a black screen with all the display settings. There is no image of what the lens should be "seeing." If I hold down the shutter release button, SB and a flashing RED circle appear. In addition, there is a constant flashing symbol--a white circle with hands like 9:00 and a white dot at number 3 on a clock face. Same problem as the other person. LCD screen only shows menu items is black and doesn't show what you are aiming at. I have changed batteries and pretty much pushed every button on it. I have deleted all pictures from scan disc.
-   turns on, works fine, but the flashing clock appears. My side pannel of the camera fell off and I just reattached it, so I thought it was something to do with light hitting the inside of the lense, but I don't know now, it still does it.-   Guest

-   Camera does turn on and will take photo - but will not zoom. Cannot click into card memory to view photos. Flashing red symbol with clock face @ 9.00. Can't see what to do - have looked at all settings, etc but nothing will get rid of the symbol.
