Intermec 4400 printer fault. Ribbon fault. Looking for a service manual for this printer.

You can adjust the darkness level +/- 10. If you adjust it all the way to 10 and it is still too light, there is a print head pressure adjustment screw to the left of the ribbon feed roller.

The intermec is show a "ribbon fitted" error on the machines screen

its because the printer is setup Direct Thermal, and the sensor see ribbin present. need change setings.

New intermec pm4i printer will not rewind ribbon onto takeup reel. Also doesn't appear to be advancing ribbon either.

Problem with Intermec 3400 ribbon supply

Just take the head of ink outside and clean it carfully and return it back it will work. use clean solution.

Ribbon fault when using Direct Thermal paper?? This one got me, too. Easy to correct, but issue was with driver & software from Intermec! To reset, go to OFFLINE READY, press MENU, Up/Down to OFFLINE CONFIGURATION, press SELECT, Up/Down to LABEL MEDIA TYPE, then SELECT, Up/Down to MEDIA TYPE DIRECT THERMAL, SELECT, ENTER and MENU out. To be sure, cycle power - and it works again.....
