Pioneer DVR 112D won't read or write (by 5 users)

I also just installed a Pioneer DVR 112D. I've double-checked everything and it appears to work but will not read anything. Pioneer maintains that it's a Microsoft issue. It opens, closes, shows as a working drive, but will not read or write anything. Help!

Ihave a Pioneer 215D and it wont read or write anything. When I put a cd in the drive i get a blue screen stop error. Ive reinstalled the driver but still no luck. Its a brand new dvdr drive so i cant find whats wrong.
