It is a LAMP issue. In the back there is a door or compartment. Access the lamp thru this door. Unscrew the LAMP in the TV. Order yourself a new one. Usualy covered by the manufacturer from 1 year to sometimes even 3 years. If not they can be a bit expensive. $150 to $300 bucks. Good Luck.
If there is no picture , then you have a solder problem in the tv
the capacitor is not working . or not connected to regulate power.
try to go into options to adjust projection tv , see if that works first .
if not then you need a service call .

I have the same tv and I took my clear shield off and never put it back on. The picture is much better without it as it will reflect light and objects in the room making it difficult to see the pic clearly. I was told by a service tech that the primary purpose of the glass or shield is to prevent damage to the screen from objects, water etc. If you have no small children in the home you can enjoy a better pic.
1080 is a High Definition setting. If your Television is HD capabilities you need to make sure that the programming that you are viewing is being broadcasted in 1080. If it is not then you will see a difference in picture quality and sound. If no color at all and program being watch is HD programming check your connections on back of Television. depending on what kind of input the Television is receiving you might need to try new cables or a new input. Good luck
I have an older Mitsibutishi 52" HD 1080. I recently upgraded my cable box to DirecTV HDTV. When I change to format to view in 1080 the TV goes from full screen to what seems to be wide screen with a black bar on the top and bottom. If I change the format to 480p I get a full screen; but the picture has a "redish tint" over it as if looking through sunglasses...I tried everything in my TV manual even call the cable company. Any suggestions?
