Check the blue disc capacitors around horizontal output for a burn mark.

Sometimes the picture rolls for 30 minutes to one hour and then the picture is perfect. A few times when we turn it on, the picture is okay and then after a few hours, the rolling picture starts. Where is...

The rolling is a bad filter capacitor on the signal board in the set---Any Mitsubishi dealer can look the model up and see known faults including this one---some of the sets when cold---vertical jitter in picture or just menu---If the menu is stable you have a tiny bad cap= weak caps when cold act up and when get hot regain capacitance and start to work.

Panasonic CT-27L8SG displays gray screen and white hoizontal line

Is it still under warranty?
If not I would find a good TV Service Shop and have them check out the power supply as there more than likely a 'Capacitor' much like a battery that is going bad.

I'm getting sound but no picture at first then after 5 minutes or so the picture will come on.

The oscillation is delaying. this is an indication that most of the capacitors have changed thier values on the power supply, or on the line transformer section.
take your tv for service which is cheaper than repairing.
the tv will be expensive once it switches off onits own. okay

Sony 42" KV-32S66: picture blinks off briefly, getting worse

your crt is getting weak you can get around this buy adjusting the screen control ...... the screen control is on the small board on the back of the picture tube . remove back , with picture tube flashing adjust screen control a touch one way will make it worse and the other will stop the flashing . only move it as much as you need to - no more . this will work for a while and you can do it again and again when ever needed . but the picture will not be as good .... as far as the free dead sony , i would get it . changeing a picture tube from doner tv is just plug and play on a sony . so you can have a new tv for free with just a little work ..........if this answer helped please rate it 3 or 4 stars . a high rateing will help keep mein the paid answer department thanks

Start up problem

Your TV chassis no doubt has bad solder connections = chassis
must be pulled, carefully soldered, re-installed..........T.

Horizontal White Line

Sounds like something is getting hot causing voltage loss or drive pulse loss to the vertical IC. Maybe you have a bad solder joint. Try tapping the circuit board around the vertical section. A capacitor could be heating and opening up. Stargazer Also you might try using circuit cooler spray and make the problem show up.
