Question about Philips 26PW6341 26" TV

No Picture TV switches on okay but after a few minute picture starts to brake up or becomes wobbley then no picture TV will only then switch back on after maybe an hour

Check the blue disc capacitors around horizontal output for a burn mark.

. Check and replace damaged component/s at its back-light inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. It will be best to replace the inverter board as card basis. To some model sets; especially LED back-lighted types; the back-light inverter circuit will be part of the main power supply board [SMPS]. In such cases, the power supply board might need replacement. To some models sets, the back-light inverter and SMPS section circuit will be integrated at its main board itself. If so; the main board should be replaced. To some models of sets, all these section circuit will be integrated at its main board. If this is the case, you have to replace the main board.

Try cleaning the LVDS cable and ribbon cables going into and out of the Tcon board, if that doesn't correct the issue your going to need a new tcon board

Good thing the tv is under warranty, theres no magical fix for a problem like this. I would either return it to the store or call for service. If you atempt to do to much to fix it you might voide the warranty, and you should have to do anything to fix it as you said its 3 days old.

Picture loss!

It sounds like cold solder joints on the vertical IC chip. Not a major deal. The entire board should be looked over for other joints becoming cold.

Is it a Toshiba or RCA? What's the model number?? When it "stays on..." do you get a picture and audio okay??? If you continue turning it back on does the lapse in time continue to get longer????
