Camera wont switch on (z1 dimage.)

I noticed when i was downloading using usb cable that the camera would switch it self off. It did this about six times; each time i done a new download. Then one day i went to download put in the usb cable,camera switched off.Took out cable,camera will not switch on mannually now.
I notice the usb port in the camera has become a very loose fit too?
Checked batteries they are fully charged.Please email my relply to [email protected].

Use camera for 50th Bday, and now it will not turn on. Ordere new battery, and charged it thinking it was the battery, and it isn't. Don't know what else to do?

This happened to me too, today! I can't turn on my camera and the usb port is stuck inside the camera (can't plug it in, etc). It's easter, so much for taking photos.

Dimage camera unable to use card

What type and size memory card are you trying to use? The Z1 works with MMC and SD cards, 2GB or smaller. It will not work with higher capacity SDHC cards, even though they fit into the slot.

What size sd card can i use in a dimage z1

You may use any size SD card. Bear in mind that SD cards max out at 2GB. Larger cards are actually SDHC cards and won't work in the Z1.

I know the camera very well except i dont know how to find and use the self timer on it????

Sd cards not working in my computer so i bought the usb cable, plugged camera in plugged usb into port and nothing happens no drivers.been looking for hours for the software and drivers can't seem to find...

I am having trouble finding the driver for my Minolta Dimage Z1 camera. When I downloaded the drivers from Minolta's web site there was no .exe file included. And other web sites want me to install this...

Cannot switch from LCD to viewfinder - Minolta Dimage Z1

Nothing adjustable here, Its more than likely the switch pole which is weither broken or worn. Not a DIY but also not an expensive fix

Turns the computer off when plug USB into a computer

did you try using the camera with a different data cable? there could be a peoblem with the data cable you are using
