my ibook g4 locked up one day while I was on the internet. I tried to reboot, nothing. I tried to reinstall Leopard, the computer locked up during the install. I replaced the hard drive and memory and still it locked during install of Leopard. What else could be causing the system to lock. Mother board? Processor?

Leopard is not really suited for the iBook G4. I would recommend you go back to Tiger and see if that gets rid of your lockup. Leopard is more suitable for the Macbook.

- Your logic board is fu.k.d up. Get you a cheap parts/repair laptop off of e-bay or just by the motherboard by itself. Have fun installing, because the iBook models are real bit.h to open. They have a lot of diabolical screws of varying lengths and shapes to really stress you out.Yes
