It should go around 2 wheels; one is the pulley of the motor, where there is a good groove. The other goes around the tub wheel which is big one. First fit to the motor wheel then fit to one side of this big wheel & turn the wheel to engage it gently. The belt should have a "give" of only half an inch, or it will be too loose or too tight.

If helped pl rate.........

The belt on my hotpoint aquarious wma33 keeps coming off

Belt is not adjusted tight enough when being fitted, if no adjustment can be made by moving the motor then the belt may be stretched and will need replacing, the drum bearings may be faulty and causing the pulley to be out of alignment, water may be getting on to belt causing it to slip off.

The belt on the drum keeps slipping off, what is wrong with it.thanks

Hi, W/D here.
Here's a few things to check:
1. Is the tensioner pulley engaging the belt and holding it tight?
2. Is the belt worn out?

The belt would be most likely to me. If it is old or obviously worn, replace it. Once the belt is on the drum, motor and tensioner pulley. rotate the drum by hand several revolutions, slowly (with the power off) to seat the belt back into it's tracking position.

Best regards, --W/D--

How to fit a belt to a hotpoint aquarius when the back cannot be removed

If there is a small inspection panel at the back where you can get to the motor remove that then remove the top lid of the machine. Loosen motor mounts and swing motor up and remove belt from motor. Now remove belt from pulley from the top of machine. Reverse the order starting from the top to replace belt.

Hotpoint Aquarius WMA32 - belt slipping off?

Probably it wasn't fitted properly. make sure the belt is tight when fitted, and at least 2 groves from either side at the motor shaft.

Fitting a new drive belt to a hotpoint aquarius

Remove lower rear panel, tilt washer forward, getting someone to help, and fit belt round motor pulley, then fit belt round drum pulley, slowly turning the drum pulley round as you feed the belt on, it is very tight, and you might think the belt is to small, but this is normal, as the belt stretches, just persist, but be careful you do not trap your fingers. Good luck.

How to fit a belt to a wf440p washing maching

remove the top cover and lower rear cover. loop the belt over the motor shaft and then around the drum pulley, this will probably only go round halfway as it is tight, hold the belt to the pulley by turning it rather like putting on a bicycle chain.
when it's on make sure it runs centrally round the pulley adjusting the position on the motor shaft if needed.

Need to replace drive belt on hotpoint wf430 but to tight to get

Put it on the motor spindle first then feed it onto pulley. It is tricky with such limited access.
Hope this helps &thanks for using Fixya.

hook the belt around the motor spindle first then get the belt as far round the pully as you can once at that stage hold the belt firmly as you can on the pully and turn the pully round making sure that the belt does not slip off keep turning the puully round till the belt is fully on once on spin the drum around by hand to make sure that it is on the pully square with motor spindle. job done. if this helped please leave feed back.
