Hi Kristen,

It sounds as if SkyDrive is running at startup everytime you log onto your PC. What you can do, if on Windows 7, is click start, then type msconfig, you will then be presented with new window. Click the startup tab and ensure that SkyDrive is not enabled to start when system starts. If using windows 8, you can right click on the task bar, choose task manager, then click the startup tab and check the items there. Please visit my website at if you need any additional assistance.

I hope this helps and good luck!

The Webroot Client Service must be running on your computer in order for Webroot software updates to function. If your updates are failing, follow the steps below to make sure the Client Service is started on your computer.
  1. Follow the instructions for your operating system.
    For Windows XP:
    1. Click the Start button, then click Run. The Run box opens.
    2. In the Run box type services.msc and press OK. The Services window opens.

  2. For Windows Vista or 7:
    1. Click windows_7_start_button.png or the Start button.
    2. Type services.msc in the Start Search box and press the enter key. The Services window opens.
  3. In the Services window, scroll down and locate Webroot Client Service.
  4. Right-click on the entry for Webroot Client Service and choose Properties from the menu that appears. The Properties box for the service will open.
  5. In this window, locate the Startup type. If it is set to Disabled, use the drop-down menu to change the setting to Automatic and click OK.
  6. Close the Services window.

Would you know how to get rid of the WEbroot Desktop Firewall-Application Control large sign that is right in the middle of my computer screen--It makes it hard to do e-mails

Go to start menu then run type in MSCONFIG then go to startup items. Disable the on screen application for the firewall but not the firewall itself it should stop posting the application on the screen shot. Do not delete just disable startup item. I would also disable anything else that is annoying you a well. It will not hurt your computer. Thanks for using FixYa! John

Internet explorer wont open have to start in safe mode

Start with running your antivirus scans in safe may have a trojan or worm on there that prevents you from going into programs and you are always more able to remove viruses, etc, in safe mode than in normal startup

Scansoft paperport 10 keeps loading every time i switch on

Check the Startup folder in the Start menu. If it is there, simply delete the entry there. Otherwise you can use "msconfig" from the Start Run menu to control the startup programs and disable paperport.

Internet explorer cannot display page?

Sounds like a Security/Pop Up software toolbar
Easiest solution is to perform a system restore to the point in time before you installed the toolbar. Another solution is to identify the toolbar and go to the Control Panel to uninstall it. Still another is to simply disable the toolbar by doing the following:
type msconfig and hit enter
Once the program opens, click on Selective Startup and click above on Startup
You will see all the programs that run each time Windows starts. Uncheck the program/toolbar that was installed and click APPLY.
Reboot, you will get a message that Selective startup is in place.
You should now be able to access the pages that were blocked before.
Best of luck.
