Question about Computers & Internet
The only message I can get to come up on my screen now is "no operating system found". It will not boot my Windows cd from the cd rom so that I can reformat my computer or anything. Is there anything I can do to retreive my information from my computer or am I out of luck?
I have seen this problem caused by a nearly dead CMOS battery. They are cheap, so replace it if in doubt.

The computer is not recognizing the contents of your hard drive. you'll need a floppy with command.com, iosys.com and sysinfo.com on it. when inserted into the drive cmos looks here first. if you can access the cmos, check the search parameters to see what the computer boot up sequence is. you may want to change it to recognize the cdrom first, then the hard drive, then the A drive. I had a compaq armada that gave me the same message but I was able to reformat the drive off DOS 6.2 and changed the boot up sequence.

Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
