Yamaha rx v1800 receiever
HI dave, Rob here...I just looked at the back of the 1800, and you are in luck.
There are 3 HDMI inputs and 1 output to your plasma.
Step 1 hook up the plasma to the bottom HDMI port marked --------OUT-------.
Step 2 Plug the DVD recorder into input 4 ( marked as ---IN 4----)
Step 3 PLug your playstation into the one marked ---IN 2 ---
Now, yamaha's are VERY flexable......You will need to go into your manual and you can actually change the name that appears on the front panel display when you select something. So instead of IN 2 being the DVD input for a DVD player, you have your playstation hooked up to it, so you can easily edit , using the remote, the receiver so that instead of it saying DVD, the receiver will display "Playstation".
That is only one example of what the 1800 will do.
As the owner of an older RX-V2400, you REALLY REALLY need to spend some time and go into your owners manual.
The Yamaha is unbelievably customizeable and you can make it do pretty much whatever you want.
