Question about Blueair Blue Air 402 Smokestop Particle Filter Air Purifier

Dead Our Blue Air 402 is less than 6 months old and it is completely dead. It just quit working one day. Any ideas!?

Check power outlet / test the Blue air power cable w/tester continuity , switch on and off, tester move forward and reverse meter means good plug/ if does not move the fuse of the unit is open.need to replace.

Machine has been off for 6 months. Plugged it


If you mean the LCD is only partly showing, it should be replaced. Just sent in two for the same problem with clients. Apparently, supplier switched to cheaper parts, causing this. Should be under warrantee. Call fast. If you never set up the warrantee, you should do that first. I'm "SURE" you bought it less than 3 years ago...Right???? (Hint) 800-989-2299

MIDI Ionic Breeze quit working


Unit seems to need reset...To do this simply, with unit still plugged in, set to off by selecting on button until there are no high, med, or low lights on. unplug unit from wall for about 15 seconds then plug back into wall socket and select your favorite setting high, med. or low. The order in which you perform this task must be as stated above and the unit must be clean and the door and cleaning rod must be in home position. Hope this helps, mines working fine now but took a couple tries to find right order to reset.

Collector cell light always comes on


Hi there,

We purchased one of these in April 2009. Same issue appeared with us. Cleaned the cell and the "clean collector cell" still stayed illuminated. Checked the manual and the trouble shooting section stated to hold down the "air revitalizer button" till the "clean collector cell" light blinks three times. After this operation the light went out and all was fine!!!! Hopes this clears your issue!

the machine is fixable its just troubleshooting now, if you have a volt meter check to see if you are getting 120 volts through the cord to the switch, then see if its getting voltage pass the switch

Flashing lights on Model 1871


I wonder how many others are having this problem? It sounds like the wiring "went out" about the same time on all of these. Strange how it went bad just after the warranty ran out too. Something is fishy here. Planned obselescence? Anyone know a good attorney. Sounds like a good class action suit. I have two units. Bought them at the same time and both started flashing at the same time.
