When I try to start the self-cleaning oven, ''door'' appears in the display, and then the display goes to F5 E1. The door doesn't even try to lock. I have a Whirlpool Self-cleaning electric range Model # RF385PXE
there are switches under the cooktop that go bad frequently. i do not recommend ever using the self clean mode in an oven. the oven gets so hot that things have a tendency to melt because they dont build stuff like they used to. there is inadequate insulation in modern ovens. use easy off and follow the label directions. it'll be cheaper in the long run, trust me.

Whirlpool GR475LKXS0 oven.. I repleaced the microcomputer since I was recieveng constant "PF" errors when the oven was in use for an extended period. It work fine for about a week (even did a 3 hour self clean), but now I am recieving "PF" errors again. Do I have another faulty microcomuter and could there be something else in the oven causing the microcomuter to go bad? Anything else to look for?
