Question about Televison & Video
When I turn on the TV the picture is wavy. After approx 10 minutes it settles down and bocomes steady. What do you believe is the likely problemand the approximate cost to fix it?
In general, these problems are usually caused by leaky output filter capacitors in either the low voltage power supply or, depending upon the type of waviness you're attempting to describe, it could be in the vertical deflection circuits (either the vertical oscillator or vertical amplifier). I would estimate cost to repair from $200 to $350 dollars, depending on how long it takes to find the problem. It most likely though is a component issue in the circuitry.
