My asus d1500t wont start up. i'm pressing the power button..then after a few seconds this message comes on the screen " Primary master drive fails".
Hard drives do fail. You could remove the hard drive, hook it up to another computer using a USB adapter cable and see if the drive can be repaired, have a shop or friend do it, or buy another drive, install Windows, etc.

If the BIOS settings aren't saved even after you have changed the battery then the BIOS chip itself it faulty and nothing can be done to fix it - your motherboard has died, just junk it and buy a new one.

I want asus k8v-mx xseries matherboad sound driver
Go to the Asus site http://www.asus.com/ , select your region click on Download,
In Select Product,choose Motherboards;
In Select Series, choose Socket754;
In Select Models,choose K8V-MX;
Click onSearch;
ExpandAudio;
Select yourOperating System.

Additional,pls verify that your Audio option is set to “Enabled” in your CMOS/BIOS.

Locating the CMOS battery
you can see it under the hard drive

have you tried removing the hard drive and using some small jewel screw drivers to prize the battery out.

My asus d1500t wont startup
Most likelly your motherboard went bad, but you can try somthing else before replacing your MB.
1. Remove your battery and try to power up. Your battery might be shorted.
2. Remove your hard drive and try to power up.
3. Remove your CDROM and try to power up.
