Re: PHONE WONT TURN ON
The red flashes on the phone means that you have a hardware booting up problem on your phone..... you need to take the phone to a professional model repair store and have them reflash the phone to the original firmware.

More often then not its the battery even tho the battery is fully charged as it may seem. The rel test is get a new battery not your friends battery tho but a new one put it in there and let it charge. If that doe not work then the phone's logic board has been effected and it may or might not be worth reviving. But check the battery first.

I just repaired my son's phone with the same problem. Turns out the Micro USB connector on the phone was completely un-soldered from the PCB. I simply had to solder it back on to get the battery to charge. You will need a soldering iron with a sharp tip and a steady hand. The connector is in a tight space.
I swear this sounds like a low power problem but I am sure you have checked this and I don't want to insult your intelligence. Let's make sure the battery is charged and good. These cell batteries, because they are so fragile and volatile, actually have some mildly complicated circuitry built into them for temperature sensing, short circuit overload, charge rate, peak charge detection, polarity, voltage sensing. They can just fail out of the blue. Try it with another battery if you have one. My Nv2 is in pieces now awaiting a new screen else I would test it along with you. You can find me on HowardForums.com as MeccaTronix and we can go from there. Just post a thread question to me and I will respond. Till I hear from you, try it plugged in to the charger without the battery in and see if the problem persists. HowardForums.com is where all of us cell geeks go to share solutions and problems. In the mean time I will reassemble mine minus the screen to see if we can figure something out. I can at least get spare parts for you cheaply.
This might be a hardware problem with cell, Before you buy a new battery, swap it with another. If that works, perfect.
Unless it's defective motherboard or you might have blown certain Ic's that you need to get it fixed.Ic's might be repaired even by yourself, However if motherboard is at fault you might need to pay half the amount of the cell :(
Anyway, i have given you all the steps.
Note - I am taking into consideration that your charger is fine.
My phone just started this after 10 months! It does the same thing it had black and white strips and i turn it on and i still have texts coming it but cant see anything and then sometimes you can actually see stuff but the screen is totally backwards.
