Question about HP LaserJet 3015 All-In-One Printer

1 Answer

Hp LaserJet 3015 Printer.

When I print out copies they print out as usual, but each sheet has a full length vertical line about 1 1/2 lines in from the left hand edge.

How do I eliminate this vertical line? Its not static.

Thank You Kyle Robertson

Same problem here and there are plastic pieces coming out. Would it be the fuser? From what I've found the fuser is about 1/2 the original cost of the printer.

Is it wavy? if so then it is either the toner cartridge or the fuser unit (heat section) I would go for the fuser unit as the hot roller that makes the toner stick to the paper is only a plastic film. Have you noticed any gray pieces of plastic coming out?

Hope this help you and you can get these machines repaired also please rate me

My HP laserjet 3015 puts thick dark line down the copy

Put paper in the manual feed tray(tray 1). Print something. When the paper gets about 1/2 way into the printer, open the top cover. Pull out the toner. Look down at the paper in the printer. Do you see a thick dark line? Replace the toner. No thick dark line, check the fuser for damage.

Check your printer driver. The printer is doing what the driver is telling it to do. Check the "printing preferences" button. Set it up to print "1 page per sheet".

Clean the scanner glass. When I had that problem, I set a copy with lines on it in the scanner feed to see where the problem was, and when I lightly ran my finger on the glass over where the lines were, I could feel two small bumps. I just scraped them off with my fingernail, but here is the HP solution for cleaning your scanner glass:

The fax scanning unit/encoder is dirty.

The fax scanning unit is like a camera. It take a picture of the document.

The glass plate is dirty and you may purchase a FAX CLEANING SHEET.

Officedepot

or similar product to clean out the dirty area.

The dark strip is cause by semi-dry wipe out correction ink.

Give your unit a good cleaning and let me know.

Laserjet 3015 is printing multiple pages on one sheet

exists special function in driver of the printer which quantifies pages of the document on one signet sheet. Sounds like "Multiple printing" you can manipulate or disactivate this function.

The line was not a crack in the glass-as I thought it might be.

However, I cleaned the two sides of glass with piece of clean kitchen roll and it is clear now!

Thanks
