Picture has alot of lines in it went you turn it

I do not have good news for you---if it has lines etc and clears up after several minutes--usually as it gets worse it takes longer and longer, you have a bad HYPER board--very common in these sets--board is now only available on an exchange basis--means board has to be removed and sent out for rebuild/repair.

Toshiba no longer sells this part--I just helped someone else here yesterday with a slightly different model with the same problem--he was very savvy and I sent him a photo of the board and the 10 surface mounted caps that go bad--not a job for most do it yourself people--what goes bad here are several surface mounted caps on the Hyper board--they dry out from the heat and age...



To make matters worse--most of these boards are soldered in--there is a national company who can repair/rebuild the board in your model: part number for the rebuilt board is: 23148024

This board costs about 220 dollars not counting labor to get it our and shipping etc.

The person I stepped through the repair did it himself for about 25 dollars in parts cost.

The company that does this kind of repair is PTS electronics
