Do u know for a fact that I/M is working???? If it is, then remove bottom cover on front of machine after you unplug it and turn the water off and replace water valve. 9 times out of ten, its the I/M and not the water valve. Some of these unit have an electronic main board that controls these functions, list model number of machine for better assistance.

Depending on your model. The U-line units need to reach temperature first before calling the water to fill. Try turning the thermostat to a warmer setting and see if that helps. Or you can see if your coil on the valve is open.
