yes you need the special ford radio retainer spring release tools, they are very cheap and avil from auto parts stores like NAPA

you need a bladed screw driver, a philips (cross) screw driver..

Thats it,, you have to remove the piece of dash covering it,, (There are screws hidden like under the draw) and then pry it off with the bladed screwdriver..

remove the brackes holding the cd player, then unscrew the player itself.
