I want to install lexmark printer X4580 onto my new mini notebook. There is no CD drive so what do I do?

Try to insert the installation disc into the computer hard drive and run the install setup. Simply follow the instructions on your computer screen.
You can also try the downloadable Lexmark X4580 printer driver from the Lexmark website at http://bit.ly/pOdfTQ. Select your operating system, download and execute the file. Follow the instructions on your computer screen.

John - the easiest way is to download the needed software and install it. If your notebook is not connected get access to another PC, download the software (or copy it from that PCs optical drive) and put it on a USB thumb drive and plug it into the notebook to install. If you don't have a thumb drive you can get one almost anywhere now, supermarkets, chain drug stores, etc.

you will need to install the printer software compatible for windows 7 available in the manufacturer's website for download. Check the version of your operating system if you have 64-bit or 32-bit OS. To check go to start > right click computer > click properties. Download the proper driver package by going to this link : http://bit.ly/dq2FVh . Click on Microsoft tab. Download cjq3500-4500Win7en.exe for 64-bit or cjb3500-4500Win7en.exe for 32-bit. Install the software. Hope this helps.

Select the tab Downloads. Click the download according to the used operating system. Download now on the next page.
After the file is download click the execute file.
Files will unpack in the directory as showed while preparing the installation.
A wizard will pop up to guide you through the installation.
