Re: playing dvds through projector

I'm guessing your trying to play the DVD on a PC or laptop, in which case if you change the display settings so the video is only output through the projector and not on the PC/laptop screen the video will then play back properly.

No that will not work as the Projector is not supporting Video.

This happens when the computer signal is being used as the input, and the signal disappears or is the wrong type.
It may have tried switching inputs if you were using the video input rather than the pc input.

Press the auto image button to get it to select the correct input.

If you are using the PC as the dvd player, then change the display settings ie computer screen refresh rate, and resolution to suit the projector

DVI-HDMI not working with Sanyo Z2

HD comes as 720p and 1080p - the Sanyo will cope with 720 but not 1080 full HD - check the specs in the manual. You should have a DVD output setting for screen mode.

Won't project DVD playing in a PC laptop

My first thought, based on what you said, is for you to check the resolution being sent to the projector...if it's too high,(above the projector's ability to display it) you'll get a distorted or even a blacked-out display. Also, check the settings for the program which is running the DVD. There could easily be an option set incorrectly.

If this unit has a built in DVD player, then the player's lens may need cleaning. There are lens cleaning discs available for this. If the unit does not have a built in player, then the same applies to your player & there is no problem with the projector itself.
