Please follow the instructions below for unlocking your Philips HTS 3371 Please note: Unlocking a DVD player may invalidate the warranty. Unlock sequences may not work with some firmware updates and some DVD players have been damaged through failed attempts to unlock them. Unlocking your DVD player is done at your own risk.
1. Switch the DVD player ON 2. OPEN the disc tray 3. Key 9 9 9 9 0 using the Philips remote control supplied with the player 4. Press PLAY. The disc tray will close. 5. Switch the player OFF then switch ON again. 6. To test, play a disc from a region which was previously locked.
If it does not work the first time, switch the player off and back on, then try again.
This is a verified unlock method, but I was unable to confirm whether it works for players sold locked to Region 1 (North America). If you have a Region 1 player and the method above does not work, you will not be able to unlock your player.
Technically, yes but not so it would yield BD-quality audio or video. You need a control receiver that accepts either HDMI/DVI INPUT for 720I and above video. The digital audio in will probably suffice.
Not sure which trick worked, but i did ur classic 7,3,4,4,6,6,0 trick, got no message from the player. So i did pressed 0000 after that. Still no message appeared. But when i pressed start....it worked!!!!!!
Thanks a ton!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! God Bless...
Well the dvd mechanism is probably broken now and that is the reason the system shutdown, philips can offer you a out of warranty exchange price to get it exchanged but they probably don't carry repair parts for this unit anymore, I would buy a new system
The remote control might be damaged. If it is possible to arrange a new remote for testing, do it. volume control of LX3000D works from the front PCB. check the front PCB is perfectly ok or not. Regarding the DVD player, what it says when you try to load a disk?
Ok looks llike a lens problem..Try this Get a lens cleaner CD with liquid..Put two drops of liquid on the brush of the lens cleaner..insert the CD in your drive and play it..If it plays fine otherwise you will need to replace the lens..Get it replaced rather..should run you about 25-50$.If you want to get it repaired give it for repair only in a Philips showroom.. Good luck!
