Question about Kenmore Elite 20972
On top of the refrig is a plastic cap that snaps over the hinge. pry this off. there are some small bolts with 5/16" hex head bolts. remove these and the door should lift off the bottom pin. if you wish to change the opening direction of the door, you need to change the bottom pin location to the other side of the fridge. there should be some plastic plugs in the door mullion on the opposite side of the original position which you pry out. unscrew the bottom hinge and refasten it to the new location. same goes for the upper hinge pin and its hardware.
