My laptop freezes when i try to install games

I have tried to install 3 or 4 differnet games on my laptop and they wont install, 3 out of 4 games dont even auto run, even when i manually try to open the setup program it just sits there and never loads anything. the specs are fine and system requirements are more than met for these games.

Re: My laptop freezes when i try to install games

First do a spyware check (it never hurts). I would run the one from it's free and works well.

If your system is clean then shut down any virus checkers or spyware blocking applications and try it.

If you need and more help, tell us if you running XP or Vista.

How to reboot ur acer laptop likr the 1st time you had it :) because it keeps on freezing it wont let me on msn its mega slow .

if you dont mind losing all the data, you can erase the HDD sectors by using killdisk(dos based)
this will make the HD as good as new and you can re-install OS again and it will become as good as new.

Mouse freezes up only while I am playing a game

It's not really a gaming laptop the freezes are probably due to the fact that the graphics are struggling try turning the settings of the game down a tad see if it stops freezing.Games weren't really meant for laptops unless they are not graphics intensive.

Freezing game

Problem with your memory, but mainly probably you have a celeron CPU that is low on cash memory which is needed to render extreme graphics.
Try increasing your memory by adding more RAM to your system, or install a gaming card to help with you graphics defficiency.

Laptop freezes

first you should go into safe mode and get a start up manager program and stop the programs from running at start up ,clean your computer with all in one cleaning software i have auslogics boost speed, upgrading your ram would help making it faster, get rid of the unwanted programs you dont need, get rid of the unwanted files you dont need and go to task manager and stop the unwanted processes from running thats just a few things you could try so it wont freeze up and it will be faster i clean my computer weekly so it doesnt slow down bc everytime you go on the internet it adds files to your computer that you dont need after your done. Hope i helped solving your freezing problem

Frozen games

Could be that you have intel integrated graphics and the game does not support your chipset... It could be that the laptop is overheating or that your RAM is bad... I recommend checking your GFX Card first and then doing a ram check with a Linux live cd such as Ubuntu. You can also download a utility that can check your CPU temp if you can not find it in your BIOS.

My laptop freezes when i try to play games

Does your system meets the minimum requirements for those game? If yes and if you don't play games and your system hangs too, do you get a blue screen with error codes on it? (e.g. 0x0000000E), if so it could possibly be a possible driver conflict and/or a hardware problem. Try running this at a command prompt, if your on vista run it as administrator (start > all programs > accessories > command prompt > right click > run as administrator), then on the black box, type /sfc scannow. Works on XP/Vista. It should fix any corrupt system files. Try also updating the drivers for your video card and try running Everest, a free diagnostic & benchmark tool, you can find it here.

Hope this helps.
