MY SXS FRIDGE(MODEL # GD5THGXKS03) HAS STOPPED

If your model has a start-capacitor on the compressor, that is the problem. When the switch energizes the compressor, the start cap provides extra current (technically phase-angle correction) to start the motor.

If the motor start cap is bad, the current-limit switch which is typically on the back of the compressor, opens up to prevent over-current condition.

So the switch tries to start, but with a bad cap, there's too much current, so it goes click-click, click-click, and the compressor never starts.

This happens all the time on old freezers, as well as on electric dryers.
