Question about Home Theater Systems

1 Answer

Panasonic home theatre SC-PT750

I hooked up this new system to a slightly older tv using a little converter box. Everything works fine but I cannot get the sound to come thru the speakers when watching TV. I have triple checked all connections as well as tried the two different audio options on the tv menu. DVD, radio, and Ipod all work fine thru the speakers. Help?

Connecting a panasonic surround sound to a sanyo tv

if you have this option, use a hdmi cord from the dvd output to the input of the tv.most new tvs have several hdmi connectors. Then use a fiber optic cable from sound system to the audio input of the tv. between the both it should sound like a movie theatre. thats how i hooked mine up. good luck

How do i connect a panasonic theater system to asylvania tv

For best results either use an s-video connector and RCA Red/White for the audio. If no s-video available, use comp which means composite (Red,Blue, Green) so the truest color can go from one unit to the other. On the back of the theatre system, plug everything into "output", on the panasonic, input.

As far as I know there isn't any composite IN ports on the back of the SC-pt750 so that would mean you would have to directly hook it up to the TV. I have an SA-pt750, which has an S/PDIF port on the receiver so I would run a cable from the TV to the receiver, from there if the SC-pt750 is set to AUX then it should output the sound from the TV to the speakers. Hope that helps, if you don't have that S/PDIF port I think you might be out of luck!!
