When i type my pass word into the box it declines it even though its the correct password so i can'tget on to the start page

If you have forgotten Windows administrator password then it is difficult to recover so you need to reset it. You can use manual password recovery methods or password recovery software (such as stellar phoenix password recovery software) to do so.

I have the same problem but can not even log in for the 1st time. admin and password do NOT work. And when I checked the ip address w/ the ipconfig /all aomand in a command prompt, I found that it has ip address 192.168.5.1 So when I tried to log in to that page, it prompted me for a user & password. Again, admin and password did NOT work. Also, tried 1234 for the pasword with no luck. Is this box defective??

Do your other devices support 64bit wep, and are you selecting that as your encryption type on each device. For example I know on my cellphone I have to specify the type of encryption that is used. You might also log into the router, just to double check the encryption type and the pass phrase (even if you are spelling it right).

If you've type in your password incorrectly, you should see a window pop up. At the bottom, it says "Forgotten your password?" (in blue), if you click this, it will take you to another window which will give you options to send the password to your email account registered with Facebook. OR, another link in blue has "Login Problems Help Page". Any of these should help - one thing though - did you type in your email address correctly at the login page? It will not match an incorrect email / correct password, or correct email / incorrect password combination!

Follow the steps bellow:

• Log on to Windows by using an administrator account that has a password that you remember. You may need to start WinXP in safe mode.
• Click Start, and then click Run.
• In the Open box, type “control userpasswords2′, and then click OK.
• Click the user account that you forgot the password for, and then click Reset Password.
• Type a new password in both the New password and the Confirm new password boxes, and then click OK.

please follow the steps

1. Click the start menu on the desktop after connecting your desktop or laptop to your router.
2. Click RUN and type cmd and hit enter
3. In the black box type ipconfig/all and hiot enter
4. Note down the default gateway and exit from the black box
5. Open internet explorer and type the default gateway number and hit enter
6. If you have changed the default password and username then enter that or else leave blank the username and in password type admin and hit enter
7. Now in the setup page click wireless and under wireless click wireless security
8. Now select whichever security option you need and enter the passphrase and save settings
9. Turn off the router for 30 seconds.
Now your network is secured.

Open a web browser and enter http://192.168.0.1 and press Enter

Set the user name to Admin and leave the password box empty. Click Log.In to continue. unless you have set a password yoursel in which case use that

From there you can alter the setting you need by navigating to the correct page on you router
