Re: Installed Pioneer 2900 car stereo

This really depends on the way that the system has been setup/wired up.
I guess the first thing to check would be the fader on the stereo, has this been set to the centre? If it's been set all the way to the front, then you are NOT going to hear anything from the back speakers at all.
If this is setup correctly then you will have to delve into the wiring to see how it's been wired up. For this I would suggest that you dig out the stereos installation guide. Pull out the stereo from the dashboard & see if there are any cables connected to the rear outputs from the stereo. Are there?

Is the pioneer ts-a6815 a good replacement for stock 2009 premium sound system?

Depends on the manufacturer of the premium sound system.I replaced my premium stereo(JBL) with pioneer mids and highs and yea they were a heck of a lot louder and the sound was like brighter and better all around but i put in a new deck and had a amp running them so i dont know if that helps you.

Pioneer DEH-1600 CD Player. Loose connection somewhere behind device as sound goes off and on when jarring stereo. How do I disconnect and pull out stereo to inspect. I have removed screws but stereo...

If the unit was installed with a cage (most likely if your car is an domestic) you will use two pioneer keys that are L shaped that came with your radio to remove it and it will slide right out. If it was installed iso din (if your car is an import) using the factory brackets the radio is screwed into the car you will have to disasemble the dash which varies depending on the vehichle. What kind of car is it?

Make sure there is no speaker in the system that is grounding to metal...this will cause the internal amplifier in the unit to shut off to protect itself from shorting. you can confirm this by disconnecting all speakers from the unit and one by one connecting them back up until it shuts off again or better yet, using a voltmeter, you can check for a shorted speaker contact or shorted voicecoil.

Popped fuses

make sure that the amp is properly grounded, paint somtimes makes it hard for the wire to be grounded, scrape off the paint with a screwdriver or whatever. also make sure that none of the wire are crossed exept if that was done on purpose
