Question about Creative Labs ZEN SLEEK MP3 Player
The other day I turned on my player and all of the songs had been deleted. My play lists were still there, they just had no songs in them. I plugged it back into my computer to resync allllll my songs again and it got about half way through then stopped and said the sync had failed.
From that point on I could not get my computer to recognize the device. I looked at the "device manager" in the control panel and it shows that the "MTP" is connected but it says that the device cannot start. My player turns on and lets me scroll through everything, it just won't "start" so my computer can resync it.
I tried un installing the device and re-installing it but I still get the same message that the device cannot be started. I also put the CD-ROM back in to see if the drivers needed to be updated but it said I had all the current things. Please help!!!!
When i plugged the MP3 player in, i tried troubleshooting with simply plugging into multiple PC's with no lucky. i went into device manager and discovered a run time error (10) "the device cannot start" and i cant seem to figure the problem out. i have tried USB 1.0 and 2.0, i have tried different ports and PC's and unless the software on the MP3 play can be reset i am at a stand still. does anyone have a simple solution?

· Make sure you have media player 11
· If you can, the best test is to try your player with another PC, to see if you still have the problem. This localises whether the problem is with the PC (most likely the USB) or the player. See the link below (search on "connection problems") for a lot more troubleshooting on this.
· Download recovery tool off creative's website.
· go to my computer > click on hardware tab >
click on device manager button > in the is next screen on the bottom should have>>universal serial bus controllers
(write these down just in case it cant find them)
right click on them and uninstall
reboot let windows reinstall them
· Also told Microsoft hotfix causes this problem try uninstalling the last hotfix
If that doesn't fix it try the USB cable
then upgrade to latest firmware
