Help! Washer making noise but nothing is happening

My washer stopped in the middle of a load, it was making a buzzing noise like it is trying to work but nothing is happening, no code flashed or anything, I had to unplug it for a long time so I could open it and take the clothes out - it is still not working - any suggestions?

Check your exit hose spigot, it may be clogged. This is if your filter is all clean. There should be air for passage in the standpipe behind. Your hose should not fit airtight into the standpipe and neither too deep into it. Snaking out your standpipe would be good too. To open door, press "end of cycle", wait for 2 minutes or till you hear distinct click; do not force door.

My Fisher & Paykel GW709 Top Loader has stopped working. It stopped mid cycle. I turned it off and back on but it won't even light up now. Ii makes a short buzzing noise when you hit the power button but...

you need to check your pump and motor for shorts to earth, or low resistance readings across windings. the motor controller board will need replacing also most likely.

Machine filled with water then just began beeping. Never started to wash the clothes. When turned off and then on again, it makes a buzzing noise and nothing happens.

If your buzzing noise stops after a few seconds, it could be the motor failing to start. If it sounds like a signal buzzer, it could be indicating the lid open, or a failed lid switch.

The machine makes a buzzing noise when turned on but nothing else happens

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

First check the water supply coming into the washer- no kinks, tap on, washer hasn't be pushed back too far and squashing the hose(s).
If the washer is trying to actually start a program I suspect the buzzing sound is probably coming from the water inlet control valve which is immediately behind where the water hose(s) screws in at the back. If you can get at the back you should be able to tell that the noise is coming from there. If it is, the valve is malfunctioning and requires replacing.
Good luck,

Washer making buzzing sound during spin cycle, then stopped during wash still has water in tge clothes, buttons light up as if going to work but nothing happens jusy buzzing noise

If I understand correctly, the washer made a sound in the spin cycle but didn't actually spin the clothes dry?
If so you may have something in the pump that is not allowing it to pump out. Disassemble the pump and make sure it is clear of any debris.
