I have windows vista 32 and ag-dvc30. Windows will not recognize the camera at all. I've tried multiple cables, several firewire cards. Panasonic tech support is a complete joke. I need help isolating if the problem is with the camera/windows config/windows/ etc...
Also tried the EnumerateInactiveLink thing to no avail.
Any help is appreciated.....lots of posts of similar problems out there, never seem to find a solution though.... :(.

That is one of Vista's main problems, which is it's lack of drivers to interface with.
You can try going to Panosonic web site and go to support to see if they have a Vista compliant driver.

It is possible that you have a faulty firewire port or cable that is sending electricity through one of the pins that is not designed to handle it. If one of the six pins at one end of a cable is bent, for example, it can electrocute whatever is at the other end.
It's been a while now - did you ever get this problem solved?

or a dirty sensor....
hope that will help..
This is usually caused by an oxidized or defective Audio/Video drum. You can try running a cleaning tape through the camera. If this does not solve the problem the camera will need to be serviced by a qualified service technician.
