I have windows vista 32 and ag-dvc30. Camera not recognized

I have windows vista 32 and ag-dvc30. Windows will not recognize the camera at all. I've tried multiple cables, several firewire cards. Panasonic tech support is a complete joke. I need help isolating if the problem is with the camera/windows config/windows/ etc...

Also tried the EnumerateInactiveLink thing to no avail.

Any help is appreciated.....lots of posts of similar problems out there, never seem to find a solution though.... :(.

SOURCE: Windows Vista will not recognize Panasonic Tape Deck AG-DV2500

That is one of Vista's main problems, which is it's lack of drivers to interface with.

You can try going to Panosonic web site and go to support to see if they have a Vista compliant driver.

SOURCE: Problem with DV output on ag-dvc30

It is possible that you have a faulty firewire port or cable that is sending electricity through one of the pins that is not designed to handle it. If one of the six pins at one end of a cable is bent, for example, it can electrocute whatever is at the other end.

AG-DVC30 showing dead areas on flip-out screen and on video capture preview. The dead areas appear as horizontal blue screen bars, alternating in between bars of video while the camera is in VCR...

This is usually caused by an oxidized or defective Audio/Video drum. You can try running a cleaning tape through the camera. If this does not solve the problem the camera will need to be serviced by a qualified service technician.

My name is Rick and I'm a professional repair technician with over 20 years in the business and have repaired many of these. I'm semi retired and work from home with little overhead so I can keep repair costs low. If you decide to have the camera repaired, please click HERE for a directory listing that suits your needs.

Norton has changed your registry...that's why the camera is no longer recognized. Solve your problem the way the pros do....use a card reader.

Windows vista can't recognize my sony dv camera

If it is a Digital Video camera such as a Sony Digital 8, then it will not work with Vista. The output signal is analog even though the camera is digital. If it is a MiniDV it should work. You may have to connect it through Firewire, Component, or RCA inputs for it to work.

Camera won't work with vista

There are no drivers available to make the Canon PowerShot A30 work with Windows Vista. Your best bet is to get a CF card reader ($15 or less) with a USB connector and put your card from the camera into it. Windows Vista will recognize the card reader and the photos without any drivers.

My compuetr does not recognize my camera

it could be the camera's firewire port, I have the same problem and I am sure it is coming from this. try checking if if the program recognizes another camera if it does the firewire port on your camera must be broken.
