Question about Kenmore 73502 / 73504 / 73509 Bottom Freezer Refrigerator
I have a kenmore refridgerator 18 months old. it started making a loud noise and we got an error message on the display of ERR FFand then 24 hours later the message changed to ER IF and the refridgerator has stopped cooling all together. Any ideas what could be wrong?
Hi. Error FF is your Fresh Food Fan. Otherwords, the evaporator fan motor has failed. You should replace the motor and motherboard. You may get by just replacing the motor. Sears doesn't manufacture the refrigerator. They just pay extra to have Kenmore put on it. Its the manufacturer that needs to back their equipment. If you bought it from Lowes, you can't hold Lowes responsible for the ongoing issue. They sell the same refrigerator. Anytime this model refrigerator displays an Error code, unplug it for 5 miniutes and replug it. Sometimes it was a computer misfuction. Good luck! Mack

Mine was showing the same ER IF message. I unplugged it from the wall and left it unplugged for 5 mins. Restarted and it appears to be fine. I did notice that it was behaving a bit erratic for a month or so before this happended. All the lights would turn off but would restart shortly after. Hope this helps.
