I River for Mac

I have an iRiver H10 5gb. In order to use it with the Mac, I have to connect it while in UMS mode. This basically turns the unit into an external drive.

To do this you need to first remove your battery to reset the unit.
While the unit is off, connect it to your computer. Hold down the 'o' key while turning the unit on. Holding both buttons down until you see "USB Busy Do not disconnect". Now you can release the buttons, you are in UMS mode. Now just drag and drop your files onto the player.

If you don't mind not being able to use some of the iRiver features, once you drag and drop the music files, you disconnect in the usual way and then play your music files from the browser on your iRiver.

(Unless you add the files using Window Media player or iRiver's Music Manager, you won't be able to access the files in any other way. )

Here are some of the programs/software/firmware that are supposed to help load files from the Mac onto the iRiver. One that most people seem to like is called the easyH10. I have also come across info to sync with iTunes. I have tried these, but because I am in UMS mode, they haven't worked.
