If it is spinning then you may have lost a 110 leg on your electrical outlet that causes the heaters to come on. Start there and work your way back to the dryer. You should have 110 from the ground(lower center hole) to the hot left hole. You should also have the same on the 110 ground to the right hot leg. if you check both the left and right together you should have 220/240 volts. If you don't stop right there and call an electrician. If you do have 110 on each leg as we call it giving you a combined 220/240 volts (it sometimes varies) move up the line to dryer. Either the heater coil has broken (good time to check for good airflow at the vent) or a non resettable thermostat has been tripped causing the heaters to stay off. Poor airflow can cause these two things to fail. The thermostat will need to be replaced if it is the non resettable type. The heaters may have gone too. Those should be checked as well.

I have a hotpoint aquarius tdc 30 conderser dryer. It gets hot and rotates the clothes, but they aren't drying. what's wrong?

Hi, Well if it is getting hot but not drying the clothes than most likely you have an airflow problem. Take off the vent hose on the back of the dryer. It will be plugged up with lint either inside that vent on the dryer or the hose will be plugged somewhere. If you clean this or just plain replace the old hose this will take care of the problem. Good Luck. feed back is appreciated.

TDC 30 tumble dryer

Your going to want to remove the back of your dryer. There should be a heating element housing back there. You may be able to see it by taking the top off to. It might not be your element that is causing the problem with your drying. You may have a bad thermal fuse. When you find the element turn on the dryer and as it runs watch the element. If it turns on and then off after just a few seconds then you have a problem with the thermal fuse. If it doesn't come on at all chances are the element needs to be replaced. Let me know if you have any other questions and good luck. Also, let me know if this was helpful to you please.

Dryer element not working

Sounds like it could be a faulty heater relay. The relay is located at the top behind the console panel.
It is a clear plastic box with the contacts inside it.
If you have tried everything else, then this what I would go for.
Hope this helps.
Please leave feedback.

TDC 30 tumble dryer

To test the heating element you need to access it by taking apart the back panel, and test it for continuity using a multimeter.

There are also a couple of fuses/circuit breakers that you should test.

Entering the model number here you get the exploded view, and replacement parts.

Hotpoint TDC 30 not getting hot

You need to check ALL your thermostats. There are typically three to four on most dryers and they should be 2ohms or less. Make sure there are no clogs in the vent, this is most of all heating problems.
