Question about Teac CD-X9 Shelf System

TEAC - CD-X9 - No sound in left speaker

I've only this a couple of times in 18 months, and when recently hooking itup, there is no sound on the left speakr (the speakers both work .. I switched the left and right jacks), but nothing works out of the left jack on the back of the sub-woofer . I get bass and sound on the right output only. Any thoughts?

Thanks, I checked both ends of the cable between the sub-woofer and the main unit, and one of the pins was bent to the side (and not inserted properly when I plugged it in). I straightened the pin, plugged both ends up, and voila ............. working great .. THANKS

Seems that there is a consistant problem with this TEAC as pertains to the difficulty of connection. I had exactly the same experience except my 3.5 amp fuse bit the dust when I plugged it in. The connection is very "rough" and the pins bend much too easily. Now I am struggling trying to find a 3.5amp 120V fuse. I've searched electronics outlets and even visited several NAPA stores, but I find only 2 amp or 5 amp fuses. Any suggestions where I might be able to secure this odd fuse? I noticed that the other fuse in the panel is 4amp 120V. Whoever designed the circuit board should go back to engineering school.

The speaker wire itself could be grounding out. look for small knicks in the wire and make sure the plug is not faulty. RCA plugs can go bad which would account for intermitent troubles some times

Dodge infinity

The Infinity system includes a CD/cassette receiver or a CD receiver in the dash, and a complement of 7 speakers: 3-1/2" speakers in the dash (left, right), a 2-1/2" center dash speaker, two 6"x9" woofers in the front doors, and two 5-1/4" speakers in the rear doors. You'll have to remove a section of the dash to install a new stereo, as you do with the non-Infinity system. You'll need a special adapter to connect a new car stereo to the Infinity factory amp http://www.crutchfield.com/p_120CHTO02/Axxess-CHTO-02-Factory-Integration-Adapter.html?tp=3486

Just bought the speakers of a teac cd-x9 thinking it was for a pc. Is it even compatable? If so, do you have a pin out for the input plug? thx

Pin-out??? It's a standard RCA AUX input that accepts and standard stereo Line Level source. Your PC has that or a 3.5mm output that can be adapted to standard RCA.

Does the Teac Micro Hi-Fi System CD-X9 support an Ipod nano?

  • Not in the format that IPod supports but it easy enough to convert the IPod songs to the MP3 format that would allow you to burn an MP3 disk that will play on that system.
  • You want to convert it to MPEG-1, Audio Layer 3, 44.1 or 48 kHz fixed bit rate.
  • Here is one of many site you can download the converter from http://www.winmpg.com/ipodto/ipod_mpeg1.html
  • Once you convert the ITune then just burn it to a CD-R or CD-RW disk and the system will play your songs just fine.
  • Hope this helps.

Samsung AV-R720 - front right speaker crackles

THIS RECEIVER IS JUNK. I had the same problem with my receiver and Samsung gave me a new unit as it was under warranty. 8 months later the replacement which was brand new did the same thing. Samsung tells me it is my problem now. I should have demanded another unit. the best advice I have is not to buy this product. Samsung won't help you when it breaks and it will break. Nobody seems to know how to fix it.......

JBL on rour stop working one hour later every time

Hi, I got my on tour a couple of months ago and it worked fine. But just recently it starts stopping emitting any sound one hour or so after I start it. No sound at all, and the light goes off too. If I press one of the buttons, the light will glim just once.
