i had the stere on volume 7 and the sound just went out and i cant get no sound at all but the reciever itself turns on and works fine what would cause this problem is it a fuse?

-   Has power, all functions seem to work, appears to play CDs..but no audio out of either speaker at anytime..not even a buzz or anything...no visible fuses on circuit board, etc..any ideas? Anyone know if there is a schematic for this available (GE 75300)-   MarkB-CO

-   Yes, same problem. No sound from speakers but otherwise everything working OK. No it's not a fuse or final amp problem. The final power amp on the bottom board is fine, there's no sound coming to it from the middle control board on either channel-   Dacity

-   my sony system shows it has power, by a little red light on the front . but no lcd lights cd rack won't move , radio won't turn on like if it had no power at all.-   aodawg72

it could be a fuse, i would check that for sure. i would also look at the stereo speakers for fuses there. i have seen some that fuse at the speakers. I would unplug from the wall and allow to cool down. Thermal fuse will reset itself. see if any of that helps.

F-16 Is an amplifier ic problem you would most likely have to replace the main power amp plus its power regulator.

I too have power, and sound in one speaker only - have checked all connections to speaker and also checked they are same as working speaker. What else can I do?
