You might have configured your lan settings wrongly.

If your modem was setup for DHCP then you configure your lan to receive IP address automatically, DNS automatically.

If DHCP is disabled on the modem, you have to USE static IP Address for your lan ip and default gateway should be your modem default ip.

the default IP for modem is usually 192.168.1.1
if DHCP is disabled on the modem the sys ip is 192.168.1.3

So Configure your LAN setting as follow and Type http://192.168.1.1 in the address url.

Lan Settings:
IP Address: 192.168.1.3
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway: 192.168.1.1

click ok.
and type the above url, press enter the modem will ask you for username and password.

Good Luck.

Repeater setup

i assume you do the basics.
1. Check the IP address if your computer and repeater device is in the same IP range.
2. Repeater has a power.
3. Check the repeater's IP manually

Note: Sometimes at the internet webpage error message there is an advanced settings that asking you if you want to proceed to configurations.

Double check, should be accessible based on the IP range assigned, otherwise might be the hardware's fault.

I cant enter hotmail it says http 400 Bad Request

hi.

Cause The 400 Bad Request error is an HTTP status code that means that the request you sent to the website server (i.e. a request to load a web page) was somehow malformed therefore the server was unable to understand or process the request.

Resolution
  1. Check for errors in the URL. The most common reason for a 400 Bad Request error is because the URL was typed wrong or the link that was clicked on points to a URL with some kind of mistake in it.

  2. Though it's rare, the 400 Bad Request error could be an issue with the web site's server that you are trying to access. You may want to attempt to contact the webmaster or another site contact and inform them of the error message. The webmaster of most Internet sites can be reached via email at webmaster@website.com, replacing website.com with the actual website name.

401 Authorization Error when accessing a Web-based Utility

Getting the 401 Authorization Required error page means that you tried to access a Setup page and entered an invalid password three (3) times. To reset the password, the device must be reset to factory default settings. Resetting the device: 1. Hold in the Reset button (usually located on the front or back panel) for 30 seconds. 2. Unplug the power cord to the device and wait for 1 minute. 3. Plug the power cord back into the device. 4. This will restore the device's default settings, which includes a default password of admin. 5. You can now try to access the Setup page again. Accessing the Setup Page: Open a Web Browser (either Internet Explorer or Netscape). Type the IP Address of the device into the Address Bar and press [Enter]. 1. The User Name and Password Prompt will appear. 2. Leave the User Name Field blank. 3. Type in the Router?s Password, admin, (the default Password). 4. Click OK or press the [Enter] key. If the device was reset to factory settings, the password of admin should be valid and the Setup page should load. If not, repeat steps to reset the device
