Hi there,
Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Processing cannot be continued because the printer spooler service has been stopped.

Hi,
Go to START then click on RUN. Type services.msc. This should pull up services window. Look for Print Spooler. Start the service from there. That should fix the problem.
Hope this helps.

Hello, I have problem like this - Process cannot continue because the Print Spooler service has been stopped. Restart the computer to start the Print Spooler & try again. I mean, I cant even install it...

Hi there
You can try see if this may do it.

Go to Start / Run and type in "services.msc" without quotation marks, then press Enter or click OK.

In the window that opens (Services) look for "Print Spooler" on the right

Right-click "Print Spooler" and select "Properties".

Click on the "Recovery" tab and change all 3 drop-down boxes to "Restart The Service".

Make sure the 2 text boxes underneath say "1" in them.

Click Ok until you are back at the Services window, close it and you're good to go.

Go back into the properties of the "Print Spooler" tab and be sure to click Start to restart the Print Spooler service and it will restart the service immediately.

The Print spooler depends on the Remote Procedure Call (RPC) service. Is this service disabled? Go to services.msc look for RPC. Check state: Automatic

Please come back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one so I will keep on helping.

Hi,
If you are on Vista, type 'Services' into the search bar, or if you have XP, Run 'services.msc' and press enter, and scroll down to Print Spooler. Right-click on it and choose Restart.

Hope this helps

Have a Canon PIXMA iP5000 inkjet printer which has disappeared

Hi,
If you go into Computer Management, (or Computer Manager in XP, I think..) and click on Services on the list on the left, then find the Printer Spooling Service, right-click on it and press Restart.

If you cannot find the Services manager, just click Start > Run > type services.msc and that'll bring it up and you can Restart the spooler.

NB: Sometimes there is a problem with a conflict between the Spooler service and the Fax service, and it is necessary to Stop the Fax Service, before you can Restart the Printer Spooling service, but only do this if you have problems restarting it.

Hope this helps

Cannot install my Cannon mp 210 printer

Hi, the spooler service is usually set to start automatically when the PC starts up. It sounds as if this may have been changed.
To check this right click on "My Computer" & select "Manage" (4th one down), at the bottom of the list you will see "Services & Applications" - if you click on the + next to it you will see some more options, 1 of which is services.
Click on services & the right hand pain will list all services installed on your machine, it should be in alphabetical order so work down to the "P's" & find "Print Spooler", under startup type it should say automatic if it says anything like Manual or Disabled just double click it & on the window that appears change the setting to automatic using the dropdown box, click on start to start the service & you should be flying!

Let me know how you get on.

Printer

Go to Control Panel look and see what printer or printers are connected to your PC.
Then I would try to reinstall my new printer.

First "delete" the printer from print properties. Unplug the printer from the wall for a few minutes and shutdown the computer. Plug the printer in and reboot the machine. Install the new drivers. You are in a loop. definition of LOOP: see LOOP. Let me know what happens. Good Luck, Tim
