Question about NetGear WGR614 Wireless Router
I've had this router about a year, with no issues. The last few days I've started losing signal periodically. It's gotten worse, and today I can only get a signal for about a minute before it drops. I contacted Time Warner about it, thinking it was their issue (it usually is), but it doesn't seem to be the cable. When I plug my computer directly into the modem, all works fine.
So it seems the router is the issue. Any suggestions?
Well, glad I found someone with the same problem, the answer will certianly surprise you.
The answer is cordless phones and satellite interent.
if you have cordless phones and/or satellite internet it will lose signal.
They run on the same frequency.
To fix it log into your router, goto wireless settings, then check the box for enable channel settings. You may have to reboot the router and PC.
