Question about RCA D52W20 52" Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television
This has happened to me twice. We had the warranty and thank God we did. The problem is in a $7 transistor and you probably need to call a repair shop. They worked on ours and it took about 20 minutes to replace the transistor. They take out the bad one and soder in the new one on the circut board inside the back of the tv. The total cost was nothing for us because of the warranty, but it came to $385 for labor and stuff. Again, this happened twice, one year to the date from one another. The repair guy finally installed a different brand of transistors and it's been fine since. He said that RCA makes some terrible transistors and he will not use them again. Try and get the repair person to use a non-rca brand transistor, because it will more than likely happen again if he don't.

If the idicator light flashes this indicates a processor shutdown. first thing a customer can do is uplug for 30 min and try again. This never works i must admit but it eliminate the processor lockup chance. Now if it still does this then you have a problem the processor has detected a cuircit failure and shut the set down for safety. This also tells you it not a "FUSE" since the procesor is getting power. The processor generates a error log that can be read by a technician and a computer. other than that all i can offer is check for loose connection and if you have any technician experence alway check horizontal output transitor.
