Question about IBM ThinkPad T21 2647 Notebook
The female plug on my charger shorted on the inside. It got real hot and I'm affraid that it may have melted the connections to the male recepticle in the computer as it does not make connection when plugged in. I repaired the charger and tested it on another computer. Works fine. I would loike to access the back of the male recepticle in the computer to see if a connection came unsoldered that I might resolder it. How do I gain access to this? it is a thinkpad 2653
Here is a link to the IBM manual - warning what you want to do is probably a complete teardown of the machine and soldering equipment.
You may want to buy the power jack before taking it apart.
Try www.laptopjacks.com they have the right one.
