If the weather strip has come away from the door and is not torn you can glue it back in place.

Contact cement will do it as will good quality double sided foam tape.

Hope this helped. Please rate if this helped you.

Pick up some weatherstrip adhesive at a parts store. 3M. and just be maticulous in the repair. Don't get any on the surface that seals up against the door frame. Silicone spray will keep the weatherstring from aticking and getting torn because of the door being closed too long in hot weather.

I need to install a window in my vw polo. It is the back seat pasanger side window, i have already purchased it and have the inside panel off. My issue is fitting the window inplace without it smashing,...

We don't have Polo in the States but it would be the same design as a Golf or even a Jetta, even a Passat.
  1. Remove nuts from glass clamping jaws, press jaws apart, an access port would reveal both nuts at the same level
  2. Lower door glass into door, pull window channel (Window rubber gasket) out of door frame and remove center connector (metal channel strip that separates vent window. A screw on top and a hex head screw at bottom)
  3. Pull door glass upward, tilt toward front and lift out of window slot
  4. Install in the reverse order of removal
Note: Clamping jaw hex nuts torque spec.......10Nm (7ft-lb)

Take the trim molding off the passenger door and reconnect the linkage mechanism that controls the door handle. Not recommended for a novice if you don't know what your looking at. Also, look and see if you need a new door actuator switch.

2002 leaks on passenger side floor board

That is the sunroof drain hose. Cut the tips off with a razor blade on the driver's side also.

The rear drains are underneath the car inside of the wheel wells but don't clog as often as the front ones.
