Question about Canon MP830 All-In-One Printer
I had the same problem and found a solution: Unplug the printer for 20 miutes, then plug it back in and turn on. This worked for me after a recent power outage. Good Luck!

Hi i am a certified Canon repair tech for this printer. these machines are prone to power faluire due to power surges. this machine uses very low DC voltages so when you have even a small AC power surge the eletrictronics in this printer get over charged and they blow. most of the Canon machines that i have seen with no power have been the main logic board at fault not the power supply. if the machines are under 13 months old they are still covered under warrenty. you can call Canon at 1-800-OK-CANON and they will locate a repair center near you. hope this helps.
