I have a CanoScan D646Uex. It worked just fin on my old (5 yr old) Dell. I have a new Dell running Windows XP. I lost the utilities disc, so I downloaded the driver and when I attempt to intall it, I get "The hardware was not installed because the wizard cannot find the necessary software." I have tried using the advance setting and going directly to the file where the downloaded driver was placed and it will not open the file. I deleted the file and tried downloading it from two different sources with the same results. It seems with out the CD I can not install it. Does anyone know where I can get a CD or how to solve my problem.
