Goodman furnace that was working fine until i went out of town for 4 days, turned off the power, and now cannot get the electric ignition to work [although it did fire up for 1-2 seconds the 2nd tim

You need a heating guy, not electric guy. Most heating serviceman are well schooled in power wiring and if by some chance it is wiring, they can help. But it sounds like a furnace problem. I would need your full model# to help trouble shoot the exact problem.

Installed RTH2300 themosat, but there is no heat coming out, I have O, R,W,G,Y,C wire for the old one. Thank you.

well the letters go to wire color but that doesnt mean tha last guy did it right. go to the furnace and look at the termail board in it see how it is hooked up there and do the same on t stat if there is a rh and rc use the rh for heat at the t stat if all else fails hook the red and white wire together and that should bring the heater on then start looking at the t stat for your problem.

been a heating and air guy for over 18 years and this could be several things... is this gas unit? i'm thinking the classic series was gas... anyway if so could be a flame sensor problem at the actually unit .. if this is a electric heater there are relays that bring the heating elements on and most of the time stage them in to avoid an electric surge all at once... you could have a problem with one of your fan sequencers and or part of heat actually be burned out.... good luck ... post more info if you need some more help be glad to assist you... acheatingunlimited texas

Hey guys! My electronic thermostat comes on but heat, a/c, and fan in manual mode doesn't work. Not sure what to do before I call someone

first thing to check would be fuse for fan motor. if it's ok and the a/c compressor comes on when you press the button then you probably have a dead fan.

My Monitor 441 will not ignite?

When you try to light the heater do you ever hear a thumping noise? If so, you have a fuel delivery problem. If you never heat the thumping noise you have a fuel pump or air safety switch problem. If it's been snowy you could have a covered flue pipe. This will cause the fuel pump not to come on. If your Monitor is your only source of heat I would be looking for a local repair guy that knows the Monitor heater.

I received a Gas heating system from my dad and would like to know if I can switch it from Natural to propane gas. my model # RFN28TA.

Most furnaces come from the factory set for natural gas. If you contact the manufacturer to find the local distributor for that particular unit . you should be able to order a propane conversion kit. The kits are very easy for a trained heating guy to convert. A good handy man should be cable to do this changeover. BUT the manometer that is needed to properly calibrate the gas valve is not worth the purchase price for one application. I recommend that you use a trained heating guy.

Cannot start the Brivis heating device

I have been without heating for the past month since the fan motor in my ducted gas brivis heater filled the house with smoke.
The guy replaced the fan motor, and then it had the same symptoms as yours.
After a month of various tradesman trying to work it out, it has come down to the "thermal switch" within the unit.
