Question about Dyson DC07 Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum

1 Answer

Dyson vacuum I have a DC07 vaccuum. The problem I am having is that the front does not want to stay down as I vaccuum and I continuously have to keep stepping on the front to make it go back down to the floor. It seems as though there is either not enough weight in the front or possibly the unit just has to be broken in so that there is not so much resistance between the handle and the front of the vaccuum. Could there be something I did not remove or is this typical on these vaccuums?

There is some thing broken it is two plastic cogs they help the front go down and stay up you will have to get a star screw driver and there should be two screws on top and two at the bottom when you have undone them all you will see what i mean take them out only if there broken if there ok put them back in place and put the top and bottom back together if there broken get new ones or put in back together and you will have to lean it up all the time if you want new ones go to or .com don't for get to wright down your model number its much easy good luck

On button won't stay depressed. when pushed to on, the vaccuum goes on but won't stay on unless button is held down.

Needs a new on/off switch. You can order one from an appliance parts store, and replace it yourself or take it to a shop.

Hose is not getting any suction

when vacuums shut off randomly it usually means they are overheating. this can be caused by a clog somewhere in the line of suction, or, perhaps due to a very dirty filter - either way, the motor is working hard and getting too hot.

try removing all the various tubes and parts along the suction route and checking for clogs (a flashlight might help too). also, have you rinsed out your two pre-filters lately as recommended in the Dyson manual? it might help.
