HP Pavilion m7560n tower - The system would lock up after going into sleep mode. Only a power cut and reboot would bring it back up. Now it won't reboot at all.
Neeraj, good troubleshooting procedure but I don't necessarily agree with you abiout its being a hardware issue since Don, the poster, has never told us if there was ever any noise, beeps, lights, etc

Mmmhhh - thanks for the clarification; sounds as if the BIOS may need to be re-flashed but more likely it is time to say good by (you may have some of the famous "cowboy capacitors" that were in circualtion for so long although this machine is fairly recent.
I would indeed be interested in knowing what the problem turned out to be.

Try Hard reset remove all the peripherial and power supply connected to the Computer Tower No Mouse, No Keyboard, No Ethernet cable and usb device should connected to the Tower and then press and hold down the power button for 30seconds and then connect only mouse keyboard and power supply to the Tower it should resolve the issue if it will not than set up bench repair this is Hardware issue.

I tried all of that and could still not get it to boot. There are no beeps or other noises. The fans (CPU and Power Supply) power up on high and the green light on the back of the power supply is lit along with the light on the power button on the front. I tried it with just the monitor connected as well and no luck. I brought it into a shop today. I will let you know what I find out. Thanks for the advice.
What OS is this running ??? Doesn't really matter at this point because you probably trashed the boot files by hitting the power switch. May be time for a rebuild...
