Question about Toshiba Satellite A35-S159 Notebook
The internal modem switch does not light or recognize a signal. Is there a simple solution other than buying an external card ?
This is a bad contact between the MB and Modem pins. U should open the wireless cover, find the modem and put a piece of paper between the modem card and the bezel to press the modem conection forward the MB. Beware to not damage the MB, wireless card and others devices.
This problem is usual in A35. BLOODToshiba....

There may also be a key combination on your keyboard to enable/disable it. check for that first.
If that doesn't do it then i would reinstall the wireless driver from http://pcsupport.toshiba.com for your model and see if that helps.
Most wireless issues are software not hardware but if none of that does it the easiest thing is to buy a PC card.
