Can you clear the activity report on a fax machine

The activity report can only be cleared by a full initialization of the machine. This is quite involved as the waste ink absorber count will need to be reimputted as with the other counters. As a Canon service tool is required to do this and only Canon approved engineers will have it, it will not be possible for you to do it. Sorry.

How to do an activity report

Set activity report ON, under report sett. under user mode (MENU), then the report is automatically printed after 20 TXs or RXs.
I think that there must be some kind of button with triangle with "eye", there must be counter, status, and if I recall activity report printout.
Hope that helped

I faxed something last week and lost the transmisson verification report, can it be re-printed? does my fax keep it in memory?

It's possible to print a Fax Activity report which would show both incoming and outgoing fax activity. To do this, do the following:
  1. Press Reports
  2. Use arrow keys < > to select 3. Fax Activity
  3. Press Set
If Fax Activity hasn't been set up, do the following:

Setting the Fax Activity Report Interval
You can set the machine to print activity reports at specific intervals (EVERY 50 FAXES, 6, 12, 24 hours, 2 or 7 days). If you set the interval to OFF, you can print the report by following the Steps in the next page.

  1. Press Menu, 2, 4, 2.
  2. Press or to choose an interval,
    and then press Set.
    (If you choose 7 days, the LCD prompts you to choose a day at which to begin
    the 7-day countdown.)
I hope this enables you to recover your transmission report. Please post back with any questions or just to rate the solution. Thank you very much.

Activity Reports

First of all, Back up your configuration by printing it.
[Menu] --> [Reports/Lists] --> [User Data List]

then go back to main menu

[Menu] --> [#] , it will display #SSSW
Use the [+] [-] buttons till you see [#CLEAR]
Press [OK]

That resets all the configs and status flags.
With the initial config in hand, you are ready to setup you device and we all live happily ever after.

Try it out, it works perfectly and on most models
